Sanderson Cup Final Friday 8 May Peebles Ams 1 Duns 0
Who scored, when. Skipper Fin Muir headed in from a Ronan Baillie corner after 70 mins. What was the half time team talk? Barry Thomson, the Ams' player/manager, didn't have to say much at half time as the lads were excellent in the first half. He just told them to keep it up and make sure they didn't lose concentration. What was the turning point in the match? The first ten minutes. Peebles set their stall out and started the better of the two teams. Had it been the other way round maybe we would've had a different game on our hands. Was it as nail biting as it sounds? Yup! However we defended well and dealt with everything that came our way. What were the last 5 minutes like? There were five minutes of injury time, which felt about 15! Duns had a couple of chances but again, our defence held firm. The Ams didn't panic and saw the game out. The celebrations at the end were great.
